Firstly, a huge thank you to each and every one of you that came to, or contributed to our 2012 Season Launch and Fundraiser. The night was a sterling success and we hope you had as much fun as we did. We really and truly can’t do what we do without you. So thanks! You’re all the best. Yes, you too. And you. And even you, don’t think we can’t see you hiding at the back there.
Secondly, I have been desperate to write this blog for a few weeks now, but for various reasons, I’ve had to hold off. For those of you who were at the Season Launch, you’ll have heard our super exciting announcement about the upcoming Improvathon, but for those of you who weren’t, here goes…
From 1pm on Saturday 3rd March until 10:32pm on Sunday 4th March, we will be holding our third annual Improvathon at The Kazimier. Now, I know you’re thinking this isn’t news. We’ve been talking about this for a while now, but stick with me, it gets better. Just last night, we decided on a theme. For 33 and a half hours this year we shall be inhabiting the world of a TV Station and all the wonderous possibilities and characters that that suggests.
Weekend Passes are on sale NOW for the bargain price of £20 (usually £25) for a limited time only right now from here.
And now for the really exciting bit. As well as the many fabulous improvisers from around the country that shall be coming to play with us, this year we will be joined by 3 super awesome Canadians from DIE-Nasty. Now, for those of you who don’t know, DIE-Nasty is the company that created this crazy format that we call Improvathon (over there, its a Soap-a-thon) and have been doing them for the last 20 years. So this is a pretty big deal for us. The 3 Canadians, Dana Andersen, Kory Matthewson and Donovan Workun, are all regular cast members of DIE-Nasty, both the Soapathons and their long running weekly live Soap Opera, and have also performed with many Canadian Improv institutions including Second City, Rapid Fire and Atomic Improv to name but a few. As you can imagine, we’re so very excited to have them playing here in Liverpool.
So there you go. Exciting times here at Impropriety Towers. We’ll let you know more details over the next few weeks, but for now, get your tickets and come and have a weekend of sleep deprived fun with us.
Until next time…
